Double Rose cocktails

6-8 mint leaves
1 1/2 oz. double rose syrup
2 oz. white grapefruit juice
4 oz. prosecco (very cold)
3 oz. soda water (very cold)

Muddle the mint with the syrup in a pint glass or shaker.  Add juice, discard mint and transfer to a large balloon glass for serving.  Add prosecco and soda water, mix gently and serve, garnished with fresh mint.

 

Strawberry-Rose Gin Fizz

1 3/4 oz. double rose syrup
3 or 4 strawberries, hulled
1 1/2 oz. gin
5 oz. soda water

Muddle the strawberries with the syrup in a shaker or pint glass. Add gin and ice and shake until very cold.  Strain into a large glass over fresh ice. Top with soda water, mix gently and serve.

 

Rose Mojito

3-6 mint leaves
1 oz. double rose syrup
1/2 oz. lime juice
1 1/2 oz. white rum
4 oz. soda water

Muddle the mint with the syrup in a large glass.  Add ice, lime juice and rum.  Top with soda, mix gently and serve, garnished with lime and fresh mint if desired.

 

Rose Derby

1 1/2 oz. bourbon
3/4 oz. rose syrup
2 oz. grapefruit juice

Combine in a cocktail shaker with ice and shake until very cold. Strain into a rocks glass over fresh ice, garnished with mint if desired.
